Occasionally I lose internet connection on my PC, which makes troubleshooting difficult. To resolve it, I need to disconnect and reconnect the Ethernet cable to the motherboard port (MSI Z170A Tomahawk) or use Device Manager to uninstall and scan for hardware changes. This process is frustrating because I’m an online gamer who takes games seriously. I’m hoping a new PCI Ethernet adapter could fix the problem without buying one yet. Thanks for your assistance!
Turn off the proxy server in Internet Explorer. Type Windows Key + R on your keyboard. When the Run dialog shows up, enter etcp.local and press Enter. Go to the Connections tab, then click the LAN settings button. Verify your proxy configurations are correct.
Next, press the Windows key plus X and choose Command Prompt (Admin). Once it launches, enter netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt to save changes. Restart your machine and check if the problem is fixed.
