Hello, I’m facing problems installing WinXP SP3 32-bit. I can access a few websites but most pages fail to load, showing a “webpage cannot be displayed” error. I searched online for fixes but none worked for me. Most suggestions focused on adjusting TCP/IP settings, though my machine only shows IPv6 and IPv4 without an option for IPv4 installation. I’m unsure how to proceed and would appreciate any advice.

All required drivers are present, the Asus PCE-N13 Wi-Fi card is linked to the network, and it has access to the internet.

It could be because your internet service provider only supports IPv6, while Windows XP is outdated and incompatible. Are you using an older operating system?

I also faced a comparable problem with an older Windows Vista PC. After reinstalling the operating system, the websites failed to load correctly because the browser was outdated and no longer supported.

I'm using XP on an old retro console for classic games, but they don't work on my current PC. I managed to install IPv6, yet the problem persists.

This vintage computer was built just to run old software without issues. I didn’t think much about using a very old internet browser with today’s standards. It took some time to locate a download for an older version of Firefox, but it finally worked—thanks for helping me find it. Are you new to retro PCs?

Great news you’re on the right track! Once I identified the problem, I couldn’t fix it—my computer kept sitting in the corner. I tried using the old Internet Explorer to download Firefox or Chrome, but I’m unsure which version I got or how to install it on my XP system.

I saved the complete FireFox 43.0.1 installation file from the provided link onto an XP computer using a flash drive. My IE6 on the system was also very old and couldn’t download any updated browser, let alone new sites like google.com, but I managed to access some news from MSN.com.
