I'm facing an issue where Windows starts and I can log in, but after a couple of minutes it crashes with various BSODs. I've attempted several fixes but nothing resolved the problem. The error codes I'm seeing are: irql_not_less_or_equal, page fault in nonpaged area, system thread exception, system service exception, DPC watchdog violation (occurs 2-3 times). I've run Sfc/scannow, performed a Dism scan, checked health and restored health, used DDU, fresh drivers for GPU, updated all drivers, reset Windows, tested RAM sticks one by one, ran memory diagnostics, completed XMP, used Chkdsk with XMP disabled, and even tried memtest86. All updates are current. The system restarted itself after a blue screen warning. I also downloaded a Dumps file from several drives.

Your memory is causing issues. Is this your first version? Has it functioned before? Lower the RAM to 4800 and test at the XMP voltage. If successful, accept the changes or switch to another RAM type. Verify it appears in the QVL list.

It's brand new, only a month old, and everything is functioning properly.

I experienced irql with my DDR4 RAM after installing an Intel 13th gen with DDR5. It seems likely the issue lies with the memory itself. You might want to use latencyMon to verify driver performance and eliminate any memory-related problems. However, it’s possible the problem is elsewhere. Try adjusting power settings for the memory controller or the RAM to observe changes. I don’t recommend experimenting with these adjustments unless necessary. Instead, look up "13th gen ddr5 issues" on forums or Reddit to see if others have resolved similar problems.

I've turned on XMP since I first set it up, but I haven't made any changes related to voltage. Installing new things often causes crashes before I can download and install them.

Consider resetting your BIOS to the default settings and observe the results. Also, try using a single stick versus another when working with BIOS stock. Regarding the Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX manual you shared, it indicates support for only DDR4. Here’s the link: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/M...2441209bfc. Is this a new version or does the model appear different? I was just checking if there’s a visible CMOS button and also wondering about the alternative method you mentioned—holding the power button while unplugged and waiting a few minutes. This could help drain capacitors. P.S., a big Mass Effect fan here, enjoy your photo!

I don’t have the exact details, but you mentioned it’s DDR5. You can check the motherboard manual or the packaging for a CMOS button information.

Checked page 18 and figured it out. They added multiple updates to the same manual. Also, which bios are you using? This board might have a newer one that works better with your memory too. I looked it up—this is what you support: mb_memory_B760-6L-L7-1-D5.pdf

Uncertain about the available bios, but I refreshed it around a month ago—it was the latest version then.

I’d just look for the updated version and check if there are any reported problems with it. In fact, I experienced a major issue with my MB that made Bluetooth and Wi-Fi vanish from the device manager. The only solution was to power off the PC, unplug it, hold the power button for 10 seconds, and the problem would resolve in about 24 hours. The challenge was that I couldn’t revert because the older version didn’t support my CPU, but a newer release fixed the issue. Also, my problem was well described on my board and across Asus forums.
