Error light appears on Gigabyte B660 Gaming X AX CPU.
I recently assembled my first gaming PC. It has operated smoothly for nine days. The system uses a NZXT H510 Flow and the activity LED has been bothersome. I attempted to bypass it by connecting the included adapter for the front panel connectors, which allowed me to disable the LED. After turning off the PSU, unplugging it, and releasing the power button before touching the front panel, I reconnected the adapter. The CPU indicator lit up on the motherboard, but the computer failed to boot. I then used the standard front panel connector as before, but no improvement occurred. The connector appears correctly positioned without bent pins. I cleared the CMOS and replaced the battery, yet the CPU error light remained active. I left it on for a short time to check if it was just a slow startup, but nothing changed. I’ve been using the latest BIOS and have maintained stable performance for seven days now, restarting several times. I’ve also tested adding RAM (though it’s the farthest from the CPU), left the CMOS battery out for about half an hour, replaced it, and even tried jumping the pins. If you need any assistance, please let me know!
