Error light appears during shutdown or power cycle
In my view... I support your stance. 1 saves bios data while the machine is off. 2 kept its settings intact. Yet the price is around a dollar, far cheaper than a PSU, so I think it’s worth a try. Plus it isn’t listed among the recommended items to share.
I managed to make the lights turn on and off by causing battery issues. It’s confusing since anything could happen, but I saw references about CMOS battery failure leading to shutdowns.
Additionally, I notice the issues only appear when playing games, not in other situations. Some titles seem to trigger crashes more frequently than others. If the CMOS battery were the cause, it should also affect normal browsing, but I'm going to test it regardless.
I also possess a separate 250GB slower internal storage (M.2 WD Blue, which is slower than the KC2500 but an SSD would be better). I keep Windows and minimal other software to ensure a clean reinstall from the Windows partition and to install drivers when needed. The battery-related advice isn't commonly discussed elsewhere.
I worked with the approach that focused on breaking down the task step by step. What helped was identifying the core issue early and using clear examples from your situation.
That's the standard startup order when the system powers off. The main issue was a faulty power source causing frequent restarts. Please resolve your problem.
