Error encountered with the bootable device.
I purchased an Acer Swift 5 SF514-54 14" laptop a couple of years ago and have been using it smoothly. Recently, stability problems have arisen. Initially, I experienced blue screens a few times weekly, which worsened to prevent booting into Windows completely. Now I consistently see the "No bootable device" message when powering on. I've attempted various fixes: resetting Windows, swapping the SSD, updating BIOS, re-seating the drive, updating BIOS, verifying time/date settings, and even using wall power only. The battery swap helped occasionally, allowing access to Windows, but the issues remain inconsistent. Changing the boot order didn't resolve the problem either. I'm currently on Windows 11 with the latest BIOS version. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The situation is limited if the BIOS fails to recognize the SSD. Consider using another drive as a backup, though it may indicate a faulty NVMe port or motherboard issue. If you still have coverage, initiating a return merchandise authorization (RMA) might be the most effective step.
