I've invested roughly 20 hours into the game, yet it still doesn't load. It appears as a task in Task Manager. Could it be related to copying from your Steam library on your HDD to an SSD on C:? The game file is actually stored on F:.

Get steam to check the game cache! Click right and confirm the cache. Seems like that’s all you need.

The copying caused it to take roughly five minutes before the game could begin.

Check if there’s steam running on the HDD. Here’s the official reference from Steam: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_arti...-YUBN-8129. For my setup, I installed Steam on the SSD, moved the game files into Steam apps on the SSD, and that resolved the issue.

The installation issues came from the SSD, not the Steam setup. Moving games to the HDD caused slower performance because the HDD was handling the read operations. The issue was resolved once everything was back on the SSD. It wasn’t a problem with MGS or any other service.
