Error encountered with Battlefield 5 and DirectX.
I experienced frequent crashes after switching to DX 12. It failed within minutes due to a DirectX error about the video card being removed. The game also crashed at startup, so I rebooted. Running as an administrator helped restore the game, but it still crashed on startup. I checked multiple forums and found that both Origin overlays and GeForce Experience overlays caused problems even with the latest drivers (399.07). The Origin overlay didn’t resolve the issue, as I kept crashing to desktop. After rebooting, I disabled the overlay for GeForce Experience and played for about 40 minutes without any crashes.
