So… I'm using Windows XP SP3 inside a virtual machine. It's an exact copy of Windows XP and has a valid license. I also had another VM with Windows XP, but I replaced it while fixing problems with the WinNC installation. Since Microsoft stopped supporting SHA-1 for their Windows Update service in June this year, automatic updates aren't possible anymore. I downloaded some updates from the Update Catalog, but when I tried to run one, I got a message advising against using installers from network shares—my account is the only one there, so it's running with admin rights. Anyone have any suggestions? Also thanks ahead!
