Hello, I attempted to launch the UEFI application through the BIOS on my HP desktop. Upon booting, I pressed the Esc key until a blue screen appeared displaying options like System Information and Setup, where Open UEFI Application was listed. But when I tried to open it, nothing happened—it seemed unavailable despite compatibility. My motherboard is a Hewlett Packard 1497 BIOS version: J01 v02.33. I’m unfamiliar with UEFI and BIOS, so I’m unsure how to access this feature. Should I install any software? If it isn’t compatible, why does it appear? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It seems you're looking to configure the system to launch a particular app through the UEFI interface.

You're asking clarifying questions about the instructions or guidance given by someone referred to as "you." You want confirmation on whether to use a USB key, install the software, check compatibility, and assess any risks.

This suggests skipping it entirely—it doesn't align with your needs. It's mainly relevant for UEFI app development or system administration requiring custom third-party solutions. You should focus on the setup process instead.
