You're encountering a licensing error while installing Windows 10 on an alternate drive. Try verifying the USB image source and ensuring it's properly signed. If the issue persists after fixing the source, consider checking your system's license keys or contacting Microsoft support for further assistance.

I switched to a different port but got the same outcome. I don’t have another USB available right now.

I was previously using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool. Now I'm attempting to download the ISO file and creating a bootable USB with Rufus.

You might be attempting to set up Windows on a device with a specific Windows license in its BIOS. On certain OEM-licensed systems, you must inform the installer that it requires an OEM license rather than just a Home license. To achieve this, open Notepad and write: -[Channel] -OEM Then save the file as ei.cfg and move it into your installation media's 'sources' directory. If prompted about an existing file, simply replace it.

This suggests an issue with the ISO or a mismatched WIM file. Interesting! You might try updating your EI.CFG settings to match the available versions. [Channel] volume [VL] 1
