I have consistently managed to download any desired content from the microsoft store until roughly a year ago. Downloading an app or game triggers a license acquisition prompt, followed by an error message stating "something has happened on our end." The error code is 0x80070005. I have experimented with various solutions such as restarting my computer and router, removing and re-downloading the microsoft store and Xbox app, trying clean boot mode, clearing the store cache via file explorer, and even attempting a full Windows 10 reinstall using the ISO file. After the download finishes, I receive a failure message for Windows 10 installation. A complete reset of my PC might resolve this issue, though it would require re-downloading numerous games and apps, potentially erasing all my current settings. If you have any suggestions or methods I haven’t tried, please let me know and I’d appreciate your assistance.

paste the command into the window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter
follow with SFC /scannow
and press enter
restart the pc if SFC fixes any issues, since some repairs need a restart
the first command cleans the files that SFC uses and then SFC checks system files

No success, reinstalling with ISO file still causes errors despite following the steps. Other suggestions?
I set up a new user account and connected it to my PC. After logging in, I can download anything from the Microsoft Store without issues. This suggests there might be a restriction or barrier preventing me from accessing the store from my main account. Since I’m logged in as an administrator, that shouldn’t be the cause.
It might be your original account that's the issue. I've experienced a corrupted profile before, so simply switching to a new one should work. If you log in as the regular user, you can transfer all data from C:/users/old username to the new account, maintaining the same access without needing a full reinstall. Just log in to a few places and it should be fine. I usually keep the partially broken account around as a backup, just in case it fails again. Just to note, I only had one broken user in 22 years, so it's not very common.
Even though it could be a last option, I really don't want to reach that point. The reason is that the other user's account settings are all in their default state, and I'd have to reconfigure everything—which would be quite frustrating, especially since I don't even recall half of the changes I made.
No, copying the folder of your old user onto the new one should restore all settings. I handled it myself because my previous user had issues and wouldn't allow logins. I created a new user, followed the advice, and just needed to log back in and set up the desktop. You might still need to log into services like Steam or OneDrive, but you shouldn't have to reconfigure anything unless you're certain.
I could try that as a final option, I don't understand why but I just wish to maintain my current user as the primary one. I've had it for a long time.
