I can't operate a .bat file directly. When I double-tap it, it displays an error: "You need a new app to open this .bat file." Next to the Windows Store icon it suggests searching for an app in the Microsoft Store. I don't recall what caused this issue. I saw it today as well. In the standard apps window it says "fil," which is Norwegian for "file."
When I double-click the .bat file, selecting "run as admin" or "open in another app" isn't possible.
