I'm the sole administrator on my machine. I've handled nearly everything—adjusting access rights, launching the command prompt, even restarting to see if it helps. The read-only setting on my desktop folder stays in place, and every new folder I create locks as read-only. I don’t have any third-party antivirus software installed either. What I really need is to flip the orientation of my daughter’s photos. Instead of panicking, I’m hoping there’s a straightforward fix. And yes, I right-clicked the folder and unchecked the read-only option… but it doesn’t make a difference and just reverts back.
