I chose to upgrade my BIOS to the latest release, after all. Yet once I did, Windows 10 displayed a classic error saying "Your PC ran into a problem" with the stop code 'INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DRIVE'. I attempted several fixes—switching to UEFI mode, enabling WHQL support, adjusting AHCI settings, reordering boot entries, disabling the HDD as a boot device, and even swapping SATA ports—but nothing worked. My Z370 Tomahawk runs MSI Z370 Tomahawk with MSI Click BIOS 5. I'm really struggling right now.

It appears the issue was resolved by starting in safe mode and then shutting down completely using the command prompt. The path to safe mode came from repeated restart cycles with a specific error code. It's unusual, but it worked despite being unexpected.
