Hello! I'm attempting to connect this RAM to the motherboard: ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 6. The system recognizes the XMP profile but freezes during boot when it's enabled. Using one stick at a time works, except for stick A with both sticks. Stick A (16GB) boots fine with XMP, while stick B doesn't boot at all when XMP is active. The RAM supports 3600MHz and should work without issues at that speed, but the BIOS seems to suggest a different frequency. The motherboard has been updated to version 4.30, and the RAM slots are labeled A2 and B2. I've tried adjusting the frequency and voltage, but it still doesn't power up. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks.
Your main constraint seems to be around the 9700k frequency, since the chip claims to handle up to 2666mhz memory rates.
Hi, thank you for your message. Based on your observations, stick A with XMP works while stick B without XMP does not. This suggests stick B may have issues. Please refer to the attached screenshot for more details.
This model is specifically designed for Ryzen processors. I've encountered similar problems with Intel products before.
Hi everyone, thanks for the help. The issue is resolved. I set all timings to auto, adjusted the speed to 3200MHz, and raised the voltage from 1.35 to 1.4. It looks like one stick could handle 3600MHz while the other was limited to 3200MHz.
