Error encountered during Windows 11 update on unsupported hardware.
I was adjusting my AIO PC to Windows 11 which satisfies all other criteria except the CPU part. It crashed with the message 'The Installation Failed In The SAFE_OS Phase With An Error During Boot Operation'. I checked the setuperr.log: 2022-12-02 23:33:00, Error [0x0808fe] MIG Plugin {0b23c863-4410-4153-8733-a60c9b1990fb}: TableTextServiceMig!RemoveObsoleteCHSHKLMRegkey - failed to open regkey (software\Microsoft\CTF\TIP\{E429B25A-E5D3-4D1F-9BE3-0C608477E3A1}). The system reported an HKLM registry issue at 2022-12-02 23:33:00. Further attempts to apply the software encountered network and file access problems, resulting in a SP error at 2022-12-02 23:43:19.
Even if it isn't officially supported, there are ways to get it installed. Of course, you're taking the chance, but it's your decision. Switching back to Windows 10 is safer, and when the device reaches the end of its support period, replacing it will likely be necessary.
I'm sorry, but I don't see any error log provided. Could you share the relevant details or message from the log so I can help identify the issue?
I used Rufus but only displays the Windows 11 logo and pauses briefly before repeating.
What version are you using? Let me know your details so I can help. Remember, this isn't a fixed answer—just what works for you.
It appears you're receiving a message about the Ideacentre AIO 520-24AST. Let me know how I can assist further!
It's an AMD series piledriver Jaguar mobile chip. It won't function at all on an iPhone 11, no matter what settings you try. The issue seems linked to a missing BIOS feature—some units come in without it, and those with TPM disabled also reject 11. Interestingly, FM2 and FX work most of the time.
Thanks. I'm also having trouble getting Windows 10 updates, it keeps showing 1909.
