Error encountered during startup on cold boot.
Hello everyone,
I just built a new system and each time some time (~1h+) passes between when I turn off the PC and when I turn it on again, I find a Critical Event in event viewer that says: "That the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first"
I also noticed that that critical error is also always paired with an Error Event that says that: "Windows failed fast startup[...]"
I have to say that I didn't notice any problems during use and I'm not even noticing these "crashes" on cold boot, I've just been checking the event viewer to find problems.
I'm on the latest bios with a freshly installed W11 with all updates installed.
I already tried running sfc /scannow and the dism one to fix any problems with windows but the problem persists.
Do you have any ideas on what might be the problem? Should I just disable the fast startup?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
With a freshly installed W11 and all updates applied.
Have you recreated the USB installer for your OS to check for any corruption? Did you install the OS in offline mode so you can later add all drivers with the latest versions using an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator?
Which RAM slots are being used on the motherboard? How is the processor being cooled?
I didn't attempt a full reinstall because I need to stay productive on this machine, so downtime is minimal during the week unfortunately.
The RAM is located in slots 2 and 4.
The CPU uses a DeepCool AK620 cooling system, temperatures remain stable—never exceeding 75°C—and frequency changes appropriately with workload.
I’m not experiencing any issues while using it for both work and gaming without crashes.
However, after shutting it down for over an hour and restarting, I notice errors appear in the event viewer.
If I power it back on immediately, no errors show up.
I plan to disable fast startup in Windows temporarily to test if that resolves the problem, and I’ll let you know what I discover. I’m still trying to identify the cause but also want to see if this solution works.
The PC was inactive for approximately one hour, possibly a bit less, and it didn't show any new issues in the event viewer when turned on.
I'll monitor to see if this occurs again tomorrow to confirm it's a working solution.
UPDATE: The PC successfully booted without errors even after being off for over eight hours, making a fast startup disable a practical fix.
