Hi, I’m having trouble getting any response when powering up the PC. The mainboard is X570 with AORUS PRO WIFI (ITX), and the CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 5600G. RAM is Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 1.35V. I updated the BIOS using the mainboard’s Q-Flash function, and it seemed to work—brief blinking of the QFLASH LED for a minute or two. I tested one RAM stick at a time, each slot, even with a dedicated GPU, but nothing happened. No HDMI output or beep codes, not even a single short tone. I have a beeper installed, so it’s likely the CPU is dead. I don’t have another CPU to try. Any suggestions?
You didn’t replace the CPU prior to applying the Q-Flash. Your CPU may be nonfunctional, though it’s more likely the device was damaged. Consider installing a fresh bio update that excludes the CPU socket. Please note the update process may take a short while.
You've checked the CPU and it's functioning, so the issue likely lies elsewhere. The error LEDs suggest a problem with the mainboard or power supply. To test the mainboard without a CPU, you can try removing the existing CPU and installing a known-good one (like an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X) to see if the system boots properly. This way, you avoid repeatedly replacing CPUs.
I replaced the CPU and AMD confirmed it was dead. I got a new one, but it still wouldn’t start, so I thought the mainboard was also faulty. Now I have both a fresh mainboard and a new CPU, and I’ve tried various RAM options. No POST, no beep, no display output. I’m unsure if I messed up during the Q-flash. This is really strange. Edit: When it ran for a while without any output, the board and CPU still got hot. EDIT2: It seems the Q-flash didn’t work. I tested it with four different USB drives until I found one that functioned.
