Hello, I purchased a new laptop without an operating system. I'm attempting to install Windows but the issue is that after entering the serial number, no drive appears. I used DiskPart via Command Prompt, but only my USB flash drive showed up. The SSD is visible in the BIOS under the "storage" section. Is it possible that the SSD is not functioning properly?

Navigate to the Windows taskbar, look for options like managing storage, and set up a new partition.

I don’t have access to the system if it can’t be installed.

Is this the latest version? Just checking, would you like to use a Windows PE to create a letter for the SSD, then install Windows?

It's an odd concept you're talking about, really. You can't see the drive details in the operating system until you manage to write something there. Hiren's a tool that lets you do that, and it needs to be small enough to fit on a tiny USB stick.

Use Hiren as your Windows PE environment. Set a letter on the drive via Disk Manager. Verify functionality in the Win Installer using the Hiren Boot CD DL link provided.

Consider booting from a live Linux USB and check the drive. I faced similar problems before with an SSD in an unsupported format or initialization issues. Just set up a fat32, fat or NTFS partition and everything should work fine.

You attempted to make a Linux Mint bootable drive and saw it in Linux, but it wasn't visible during the Windows installation. After formatting it to FAT, the drive became usable in Linux, yet it still didn't appear in Windows setup.

Consider using the official Windows USB installer for a fresh setup.
