Earlier, I tried running my netbook with Linux Mint16. It felt unusually slow until it crashed. After rebooting to Windows 7, I fell asleep and woke up to a standby login screen. While waiting, it again froze. I restarted the computer and saw an error message about an unknown filesystem: "grub rescue grub." I kept restarting until I found a working grub setup, which finally booted Windows 7. It required a repair that took nearly two hours. Later, during loading, it displayed another error about "dwn.exe - system error..." because the Windowscodecs.dll was missing. After reinstalling, it stopped after loading the desktop. I used this machine just a day before and everything worked smoothly on both Linux and Windows. Could you help with this issue? It seems like an OS problem, possibly due to corrupted files.

You might remove the HDD and link it to another machine to back up vital information. If repair isn't possible, reinstall all components.
