AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Gigabyte Technology G550 AORUS PRO AC Patriot Viper Steel (probably right) 32gb 2 pieces video card 3060. BIOS updated to the newest release. Windows 10 2h20 or whatever they called. So: 1. First memory stick functions independently in all four slots. 2. Second stick failed in the fourth slot, but after swapping from slot 4 to 3...2...1 and then back to slot 4, it worked. 3. Both sticks produced different bios responses while inserted into slots 2-4 or 1-3 right after booting. 4. The sticks only operated in single-channel 3-4 (unclear about 1-2) at 800MHz. After several switches and all tests, it now works on 1330 in channels 3-4 according to CPU-Z. 5. While using slots 3-4, (when PC is asleep) Chrome started acting oddly after a couple of days and crashed tabs linked to memory issues. If I restart the PC now, it might trigger a BSOD later. Otherwise, restarting will reset it and I’ll have another 2-3 days. This doesn’t happen in games or apps, only in Chrome (or maybe just coincidence, since I mostly use browsers). 6. At the service center, they said the sticks worked fine with XMP, but that didn’t help because 2-4 slots 1-3 don’t work. So what’s the issue? The builder might not be professional, could he damage the CPU when inserting it? What should I do now? P.S. I can hire a repairman to rebuild my PC for a fee, should I? Also, he could bring different sticks or even another CPU, but definitely not a motherboard. Thanks ahead!

It seems the problem isn't with the CPU but possibly with the memory. Some RAM modules might not work properly on certain motherboards. I used a 2x16 kit with 32GB at 4000MHz on a Threadripper, but experienced blue screens when XMP was enabled, though the M.2 slots worked fine. On another board with XMP disabled, everything functioned correctly. I tried different RAM and it worked too. Maybe your motherboard is faulty. Consider updating BIOS and testing with one working RAM. Also check the RAM slot itself. Hope this helps!

You might want to reposition the RAM a few times to check for debris or oxidation in the connectors. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, consider reaching out to support or returning the device for a replacement.

I don’t have anyone nearby who can help, so I’m considering contacting a PC master. I’ve tried various settings except keeping both sticks in one slot. It was tested at 800MHz before because it might be related to a symptom. Your native frequency is 2666MHz and the XMP is 3600MHz.

i dont think it was working on 800 mhz - cpu-z shows diffrent mhz - it had a reason but cant remember- like my laptop shows 633 or something like that even tho ram was 1333 mhz or something. Nah i meant be latest version but if u are on latest no need to do imo. Put one ram and enable xmp and run memtest see if it do anything even one error. Then take out and put other ram do same. If both ok try with both ram xmp enabled. if it doesnt show any error then it might be cpu.

As I mentioned earlier, it could be a bad compatibility issue similar to what I experienced before. Also, the CPU might be damaged internally rather than having a pin fault.
