Hello, I completed my PC setup on Friday. After installing and configuring everything, I was ready to play. I’ve been testing DeadByDaylight, Cyberpunk, Transport Fever, and Minecraft. All games except Minecraft are crashing with the title error. The .txt file lists the exact message for DeadByDaylight. I’ve installed GPU drivers, AMD processor drivers, and drivers with Armoury Gate for the ASUS mainboard. So far, I’ve done: installing drivers and checking for faulty RAM using Windows tools. Because my internet is slow, uninstalling and reinstalling takes a long time, so I’m reaching out here to review all options before I spend too much time troubleshooting. My questions are: - Has anyone faced this problem before and knows the fix? Or at least identifies the problematic component? - What steps have I taken for troubleshooting now? I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed. This was my first PC build on my own (the last one was pre-built), so I’m nervous about damaging hardware or something similar. Thanks ahead of time.

Specs: CPU – AMD Ryzen9 7900x GPU – ZOTAC 4080 TrinityOC MB – ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS RAM – 32GB (2×16) Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5600 SSD – 2×Samsung 980Pro 1TB + 2TB

I suspect you haven't damaged anything obvious, which would be easy to spot if it happened. We'll rule that out for now but assume everything was done correctly. After checking online, I discovered Discord Overlay might trigger this problem. Do you currently use Discord, or is it installed on your computer? If yes, you might disable the overlay or remove Discord entirely to test. If that doesn't help, reinstalling your graphics drivers could be a good next step. Keeping your Windows updates current may also resolve the issue.

I contacted ASUS regarding the error messages, and they advised verifying RAM installation and checking for GPU-related codes after installing drivers through Armoury Gate. For motherboard issues, I’m looking for guidance on resolving them.

I would then contact Zotac regarding the GPU. Uncertain what to do.

Thank you for the details. I currently use Discord with an overlay and had it deactivated. After running Cyberpunk for about 25 minutes without problems, DBD was still having issues. On my old PC, I adjusted some settings in the files to boost performance—FPS went from 60 to 120. This time I made the same changes, and I haven’t encountered any problems before. I’m planning to reinstall the game just in case this is the cause. I’ll let you know once it’s installed and tested. I also reinstalled the GPU drivers. Your feedback will help me further. The Discord problem hasn’t been addressed yet.

Through further investigation and communication with tech support, along with reinstalling drivers, I believe I've resolved the problem. After about an hour of playing dbd, there were no more issues.

Key steps:
- Executed cmd as administrator
- Ran scf/scannow
- Noted corrupted Windows files despite fresh installation

Potential cause: File corruption during installation.

Relevant info: Similar issues reported by others in other games; various fixes were found. Apologies for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and support.
