Error during VGA connection setup on motherboard.
Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here and I'm not sure if I can share enough details about my issue, but I'll give it a shot. Sorry for the unclear English. My setup includes a TUF b550-plus wifi II motherboard, 32GB RAM, a Ryzen 5 2700X, and a 2080 Super graphics card. Everything was functioning properly until this morning. I'm currently using MSI Afterburner because the GPU's fan power control is unstable, which I've been using for the past two to three weeks. I think the main reason was when I tried resetting to default settings and turning off the PC. Now I'm stuck—after a successful POST, I still encounter a VGA error.
I've checked several things:
- The same GPU works in my secondary PC
- RAM sticks are functioning perfectly
- I've used a different PSU on the main PC but still get the same error
- Switched PCI slots, removed all I/O devices, changed output to monitor
- Reset CMOS: it worked once, then the problem returned
- BIOS LED blinked during tests, possibly due to hardware changes
My conclusion is that something likely happened to my motherboard, and I probably need to replace it. If you have any insights or solutions for this situation, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your help.
