When you remove items or temporary files, they aren't immediately deleted—they stay around until they're fully cleared. The process that makes these paths disappear is called Trim, which helps organize and free up space efficiently.

Execute Disk defragmentation via Windows, locate "Optimize" for SSDs and "Defragment" for HDDs.

I verified the setup and it seems the program is active on my system. I removed and reinstalled RDR2, planning to use it again today. Interestingly, while downloading and installing, the game indicated corrupted files and requested a fresh download.

The problem is more serious than anticipated. The BSOD occurs not just during RDR2 but also while rendering, and I experienced random reboots when renaming or copying files in Windows. Based on these signs, it seems the issue might be with the SSD itself, even though it appears healthy and in good condition. I used a bootable USB to try formatting it, but Diskpart couldn't complete the process—it reported an "incorrect function." I attempted another format method, and after transferring the faulty SSD to another PC, it worked properly. Now files copy fine, but Windows still reports errors during a non-quick format. It looks like a hardware problem, possibly related to the drive. What steps can be taken?
