In recent weeks, I've encountered some problems with my motherboard (MSI B85M G43). It won't boot into Windows and displays a black screen with the code "9C" in the lower right corner. After searching online, I learned this code is linked to USB devices, but no solution was found. I currently have several USB peripherals connected—primarily a flight sim rig and a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse adapter (six devices total). All of these are linked via two USB ports, with the flight sim equipment through a hub. The only workaround I've tried is restarting the computer; on most attempts it boots again, though sometimes it takes multiple cycles to get going. Diagnosing this is challenging because it doesn't occur consistently (around 20-30 times) and seems to resolve itself without any intervention. Any advice would be appreciated.
Try removing the flight sim rig and see if the problem persists. It may be the USB hub that’s causing the issue.
Unfortunately, the problem persisted; my flight sim kept disconnecting mid-session and displayed a black screen with "9C" in the bottom corner.
Checked if the USB cable is disconnected from the motherboard's USB header, should it work again?
