Laptop Model:
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 82EY00JXVN
I'm experiencing random BSODs or crashes when using the game "Warframe." (It doesn't seem exclusive to the game, though I play it frequently.)

The BSOD sequence typically looks like this:
- The game freezes and the screen turns black
- The application exits from the window
- The display color shifts as if switching drivers
- The fan speeds up to maximum (which doesn’t occur normally)
- A BSOD appears
- The laptop doesn’t actually shut down; I have to press the power button manually

This behavior is similar to CTDs, but the BSOD never occurs. Meanwhile, the GPU becomes unresponsive after such events—temperature readings disappear in Task Manager, metrics freeze in Task Manager and GeForce Info, and the application crashes requiring a restart.

The frequency of these incidents has increased noticeably, going from once or twice a week to multiple times daily. CTDs now appear instead of BSODs after following the steps in this post [https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/com..._bsod_fix/]. However, even after adjusting that advice, CTDs still happen occasionally.

I’ve had the laptop for about four years and recently taken it to a repair shop for an M.2 drive and SSD installation (I tried removing the new drives in case of incompatibility). The machine is well-maintained: dust-free fans and stable temperatures. The BSODs remain consistent—always the same stopcode, and the minidump files look identical each time.

I’ve sought help from kernel diagnostic forums like sysnative, but it hasn’t helped much. I performed basic steps: uninstalling DDU, installing OEM drivers, running sfc verify and repair. Still, this seems like a common issue. There’s also a possibility that the problem stems from GPU issues.

This brings up my concern: based on your experience, does this pattern strongly suggest hardware failure?

I’m open to any straightforward questions or procedures that could help identify the cause, as long as they don’t involve extreme actions like a full system reinstall or overnight stability tests. I’d appreciate suggestions on how to reproduce this issue, since I plan to take the laptop to the repair shop mentioned earlier.

Sorry if this message came across as too blunt; it’s late and I’m quite tired.
Thank you in advance!
