The computer froze during gameplay. Restarting helped, but it booted in 4:3 resolution. Unplugging the graphics card caused a blank screen with blinking underscores. Reconnecting it restored normal display. I’m unsure what to do next—only know I can open the terminal with alt+Ctrl+f3.

Log in as root from the terminal, restart gdm, then return to TTY1 with a new login prompt. Remember to switch back to TTY3 and log out before shutting down to avoid issues.

Authentication successful, though a quick glance at the underscore revealed a missed step.
