My computer frequently freezes while playing games and eventually crashes. I reviewed the Windows event logs, which consistently show "Machine Check Exception, Cache Hierarchy Error." I built the system in 2021 and had no problems until roughly three months ago when I upgraded the CPU from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a 5600 and increased my RAM. PC details: OS - Windows 10 Education 64-bit, MOBO - B450, BIOS - F64c (UEFI), Processor - AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (no overclocking), RAM - 32 GB (4x8 GB at 3200 Mhz G.Skill Ripjaws V with XMP enabled). GPU - RX 5700 XT, GIGABYTE Gaming OC (undervolted). Event log and DXDiag are attached.

I came across a discussion where others encountered similar problems with the 5000 series CPU, including those who upgraded from the 3000 model. Some found fixes that could be useful. This might not be perfect, but it’s the best I could offer. It seems like a helpful resource for anyone facing these issues.

I also read it through. It seems disabling PBO helped some users, while others found that updating Windows 10 and 11 properly required manually downloading the BIOS to a USB drive and installing it. I tend to think the BIOS might be the problem, but you mentioned you're using the latest version. Have you verified it's set up correctly, rather than still booting from an old BIOS setup? That should be unlikely, though it’s the only option I can imagine without going through a lot of details you’re likely handling.

Reviewed the bios, confirmed it works as intended. Now evaluating certain PBO configurations, observing the results.
