Error code for watchdog system
Error code for watchdog system
I'm experiencing problems with this blue screen every time I attempt to boot Intel XTU. After about a month using the same setup—same hardware except for the GPU—I've kept all settings unchanged and compared it to my wife's system. She uses different hardware, but the issue persists. I've applied built-in profiles and XMP settings, and when I start XTU with a benchmark test, it runs quickly (2-4 seconds) before freezing and displaying the Clock watchdog timeout error. Occasionally it restarts itself, but sometimes I have to manually restart the computer. My CMOS is clean, BIOS reset worked fine, yet after restoring BIOS settings, the problem reappears during startup. I've maintained these configurations for over a month without any changes, and this wasn't an issue on the first setup. Most error messages point to hardware or driver problems.
I think there might be a memory problem. A few other error codes hint at this, and the watchdog timeout could be linked to it, though I’m not sure how to fix it.
Memory testing can be done without cost, even though it might take some time. A simple approach is to run a few full tests with memtest86 and see if any errors appear. If none are found, it doesn’t rule out an issue. For a more thorough check, insert one stick into slot 1 and test for gaming problems; if no issues, move to the next stick. If a problem appears on the first stick, run the second as well since other faults could exist.
