Hello, I recently purchased a new PC and set up fresh Windows 10. The specs are: CPU – Intel i7 12700k, RAM – Asus ROG Z790 Maximus Apex, 64 GB DDR5, 2 x 32 GB DIMM, 288-PIN, 6400 MHz; SSD – Samsung 970 Pro 512 GB; GPU – Asus ROG Strix 4070 Ti AIO; PSU – Galahad 360 V2, Platinum case from Lianli; fans from NZXT. I’m experiencing frequent BSODs with the message “Whea uncorrectable error.” It happens repeatedly—sometimes within seconds, sometimes minutes. At times the PC won’t boot to Windows and jumps straight to BIOS, where no drive appears in the list. Other times it boots for a short time before restarting again. Occasionally I can use Windows for 1–2 hours, then the cycle restarts. My internet connection drops unexpectedly; it seems like the Ethernet controller is shutting itself off or becoming invisible to Windows. I’m trying to restart the PC to see if it stabilizes. USB devices sometimes behave oddly—even after swapping in different ones I own.

I also noticed random disconnections from Wi-Fi, possibly due to the Ethernet card failing. My previous Asus ROG Strix Z690 Gaming Wifi D4 worked fine for about 2–3 hours, but I didn’t update the BIOS and it didn’t fix the problem. In my latest update, I noticed the error message isn’t linked to the WHEA issue. Instead, there’s a progress bar showing 0% collected data, which seems unrelated. Another BSOD appeared with a “CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT” error. My CPU and socket look fine, but I saw a possible missing pin in the socket—could that be causing the instability?
