She tried a long-range setup for her first PC and encountered error code 55, later suspecting backward DDR5 installation. She noticed the notch alignment but isn’t sure if it’s feasible without proper support. The RAM she has is 5600mt/s, which seems compatible with the specs, though the BIOS might need an update to handle XMP profiles at that speed. Consider checking ASUS’s QVL and Intel’s Ark for confirmation, and see if a BIOS upgrade is needed.

It seems the setup is a bit off-center. Here are some photos for reference. Applying such adjustments would require significant effort, so you'll need to try carefully. It probably isn't essential unless you're planning a BIOS update. I'd expect the issue stems from improper mounting pressure, as DDR5 demands precise levels; too much or too little can trigger this error.

I’ll do my best to provide updated pictures. I understand the BIOS update is necessary. Can you clarify what you mean by "mounting pressure"? Is it similar to a "depth in slot" situation? EDIT: I have images of the DIMMs, and they seem undamaged. This suggests the slight offset notch likely prevented full seating, making it hard to apply sufficient force. That would explain the initial error code 53. I’ve shared my concerns about needing extra pressure to seat them properly.

Uncertain if the attached images are correct. Attempting again in a new comment.

Explore more details about slot configuration. Focus on applying force directly into the stick when you place it in the socket. Insufficient pressure means the board won’t engage, excessive pressure prevents engagement, and the ideal level varies by board type. The amounts I’ve used on DDR3/DDR4 boards are higher than usual, but sometimes too much can cause issues with power-up. The DIMM appears correctly positioned, so it probably wasn’t inserted incorrectly.
