Why am I not surprised Vanguard and Armoury Crate were involved... Thanks for the patience, I had to attend a family wedding and only returned today. I've updated the chipset driver as you suggested and removed Armoury Crate. I'm hoping that clears everything up now, thank you so much for your assistance. Actually, it was you assisting someone else in another thread with the same problem that gave me a good starting point, which made me feel relieved when you came back to help.
