Error 52 occurs when Bluetooth A2DP source fails to connect.
I repeatedly attempt to pair my Bluetooth headphones (Sony MDR-XB950BT) with my computer, but only receive "hands-free audio" with poor sound quality. Previously, I experienced full audio range, but a driver problem caused the issue. After reinstalling the built-in Bluetooth drivers and trying various versions from Gigabyte, the error persists. What options remain?
Hey everyone, I faced the same issue with my Phillips Bluetooth Headphones. Only hands-free audio was functioning. In Device Manager I saw Error Code 52. I found the problem linked to a corrupted driver file and attempted to fix it using DISM and sfc tools in Windows 10. To resolve the issue, follow these steps: "In Windows Settings, go to Devices, then remove the headphones and proceed with these actions": 1. Execute CMD as administrator (right-click → Run as admin) 2. Type: "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" (without quotes) – this may take a while 3. Once DISM is done, run "sfc /scannow" (again without quotes) also in CMD (as admin) 4. Done! Now my headphones should work normally. In my case, the latest Windows update or an AMD Radeon driver install might have affected the Microsoft A2DP Driver signature. I hope this helps your setup too! Thanks for your patience – and don’t worry about my English!
Took me 3 hours searching for answers, then everything worked with your response. Thanks a lot!
I'm still struggling with this problem, but I really appreciate the help! It seems like a common issue... https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly...ab5de067f2
