Error: 512 PC fan not found in HP system.
Hello, I'm encountering a 512 rear chassis fan not detected issue even though the fan is still recognized in the HP configuration tool. I've tried other troubleshooting steps but none seem to match my situation. This error first appeared a few weeks ago, and after cleaning the PC and verifying connections, there have been no further issues. Temperatures were normal, all drivers are current, and the system fan speed averages around 2800 RPM. My chassis is a microtower. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Specifications: CPU - AMD A8 6500B @ 3.5GHz GPU - AMD Radeon HD 8570D (no dedicated GPU), RAM - 8GB DDR3, Motherboard - HP 285 Pro G1 MT, CPU fan, Stock case fan.
Disconnect the fan and power on the PC to check if the same error persists. Don't worry about temperatures—disabling a chassis fan won't damage anything. Restart the machine, then reconnect the fan and begin. Observe the outcome. If the error remains, it could indicate an HP issue. If only the message appears without affecting performance, you might want to overlook it.
I tried it and you're right . Its just HP quality . Turns out i was worried over nothing . Thanks for the help
