My configuration includes all components with standard settings: CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X MB, GPU - RTX 3070 FE, RAM - 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000, storage - ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB, laptop - 512GB NVME PSU, power supply - CORSAIR SF Series SF600 600W. I’ve experienced repeated crashes during intense gaming sessions such as F1 22 VR, Resident Evil 7, and Control. The issues occur roughly every 15 minutes while playing heavy games, followed by a brief stutter before the system freezes completely. After restarting, everything functions normally again. The problem only appears with demanding titles. Reformatting the PC resolved it temporarily for several days. Recently, after replacing the drive twice (first RMA’d and then using a different one), the issue persisted until today. This time, I see only the screen error but no previous BSODs like WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR or DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. The affected drive is on disk 0, not the OS. All diagnostics indicate a faulty NVME, though replacement attempts have failed. A bent pin in my CPU was discovered as the cause of RAM detection failure. Correcting the alignment resolved the issue, but I’m unsure if that impacts stability. Stress testing every part didn’t reveal faults. I’m seeking advice on further troubleshooting steps.
Additional checks included running MemTest86, prime95, and Geeks3D FurMark for stress testing. Temperatures remained stable during gameplay, with NVMEs operating around 50–60°C.
A 600W power supply isn't suitable for a contemporary gaming rig. You're underpowered. A Corsair model with 750-800W would suffice. With 32GB of RAM, consider disabling the Pagefile system and managing Windows memory leaks. Remember to remove "pagefile.sys" after restarting all drives—this isn't necessary. It's not recommended for SSDs or NVMe drives as it may shorten their lifespan. In summary, it also hampers performance overall. Edited November 28, 2022 by Cyberat
Additionally, it failed to restart even when the pagefile was enabled.
