They’re asking for my phone number! Ugh! I appreciate the freedom to pick what I enjoy—like free epic games—but setting up two-factor authentication feels like a choice I can’t easily decline. Why would anyone care about tech news when it comes to security?
For reasons, consider challenging 'bot game grabbers.' A colleague shared that he didn’t win WWZ when it was distributed and later discovered a game account on a bidding platform. He purchased it inexpensively from someone who possessed over 30 copies, which is amusing to reflect upon. Many people rush to grab games for free only to turn them into revenue sources xD.
It's really not that complicated to turn it on. No... well, everyone loves a good excuse. It's just for your account safety, and I always use two-factor verification. I haven't been compromised since I did that.
