It seems purchasing GTA V for free on Epic Games Store grants a coupon worth $10 (about $14 CAD) off eligible games priced between $14.99 and $20.99. Witcher 3 originally cost $14.99, allowing it to be bought for $4.99 (around $6.99 CAD). CD Project Red discovered this and adjusted the price to $14.98, removing the discount. While the company is reputable and the DLC included is a plus, it’s worth noting that similar deals might shift to Steam, so buyers should stay alert.

CDPR indicates Epic didn't consult them, which harms publisher-developer ties. Steam developers and publishers control how low their games can go. Large discounts attract more players, but developers typically reduce prices less significantly.

You're asking about the Epic Game Store and its issues. It seems you're concerned about something with it. What specifically are you noticing or experiencing?

It's also conceivable that an error occurred during pricing.

Their strategy seems focused on delivering games without DRM restrictions, either directly or via alternative services. They aim to match pricing across platforms while emphasizing freedom of use. Their preference leans toward supporting their own ecosystem for greater control.

EGS seems fine; they’re just Satan since they aren’t Steam and they bought some exclusive games. There’s also a Reddit user who, in the same thread, said EGS was questionable and admitted he had no clear understanding of what he was saying.

It seems like you're questioning whether this situation feels suspicious or if it's just a minor, resolved issue.

I'll share the key points clearly. I've been playing PC games since 1996 and am starting out now.
