Hello, the cost of a four-year software assurance package is nearly equivalent to purchasing a new Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC version. I discovered a trustworthy Microsoft vendor offering Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC. However, I have some worries about future hardware compatibility. Since I play a lot, I’m concerned whether my current graphics cards will work with Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC, as previous versions had issues with new drivers. If I decide to buy Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC, and because LTSC only receives security updates, when would it become outdated? Thank you for your time.

The question highlights the purpose of using LTSC—reducing pressure on enterprise tech support by minimizing compatibility issues with standard Windows. From a hardware perspective, OS becomes outdated once new devices stop supporting it. In my experience, this has only occurred once, such as with Ryzen not supporting Windows 7. Graphics support depends on available drivers, and current drivers often work with Windows 7.
