Hey everyone. I'm seeking some guidance on this unusual situation. I've shared my experience on tenforums, and if permitted by the moderators, I'll post a question here: assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm unsure what else to try besides swapping the NVMe SSD.

All operating systems and applications continuously generate logs as a necessity. High activity levels are now standard.

My available space is decreasing a lot. Last night it used 3 gigabytes in 2 hours and keeps getting smaller. I’m trying to figure out why this is happening because it’s unusual.

Typical entries stored in caches that are later released.

Do you agree with this approach? What would you like me to recommend next? Turn on the laptop, create free space, keep it for 24 hours, then delete it. Restart and repeat?

You can view TreeSize in admin mode and check changes over time to identify extra space usage. Avoid repeating identical posts.

It would be simpler since this involves writing to the system partition with many folders and files. Can you check what processes are using disk space while online? If left active for about a day, expect significant usage—likely exceeding 10 GB. It’s unlikely to be malicious software being reinstalled.

Focus on the core of TreeSize—start with one launch to examine C, then keep it open and try another later for deeper analysis. The methods from that previous discussion provide quick data but lack real value; just keep using them until you hit capacity. Don’t worry unless you run out of room.

It seems like your OCD might be linked to the constant activity on your laptops. You mentioned seeing HDDs blinking on many devices, which could be triggering something. Being near a laptop also plays a role.
