Hello. I've condensed my query and shared my details. i9-9900k with 5GHz and 4.5GHz cache, 1.330 Vcore (1.323 to 1.314 idle), 4000MHz RAM (17-17-17-37), AVX enabled. CPU power in games is 191.810W, Max Xi Hero motherboard. I monitor voltage during gaming and note fluctuations—slight drops are acceptable. I track changes but want to understand how to stabilize it. The system prioritizes performance over power savings.

Recommended setting is -3. Cache size at 47. Maximum allowed is 49. It works fine with 48. 47 seems acceptable. Regarding Ring Down, should it be enabled or disabled?

Thanks for your reply. I decided to target the voltage specified in the BIOS using LLC 7. I'm unsure if LLC 6 or LLC 5 is better, and I want to confirm if LLC 5 meets the requirements for the latest VRM Z390 motherboards.

LLC7 works best only with the Z390 Dark board; otherwise it offers minimal improvement. The Apex model hasn't been tested, as Buildzoid doesn’t include it. Notice how the Gene and Aorus Master (when using Extreme) experience significant drops in average to minimum values when moving from LLC5 (High) to 6 (Turbo). The jump from 6 to 7 (Extreme) adds extra penalties but not as severe as from 5 to 6. That’s why 5 is typically suggested. Vdroop helps, but excessive reduction can be harmful. If numbers are unclear, graphs help a lot. Compare the voltage spikes and dips at LLC5 versus LLC7 and decide if you should stick with LLC7. Thanks for your reply. Playing with LLC7 altered the voltage three times. With LLC5 it changed nine times, which isn't stable. Idle: 1,323 - 1,314 Game Min: 1.243v - Max 1.305v LLC5 doesn't work well on my motherboard. I didn't pass the Prime95 test. Crashed with a blue screen and freeze. Asus Realbench, Cinebench15-20, Intel XTU ran fine. Prime95 isn't important to me. My gaming processor stays cool during long sessions.

Sure, adjust the BIOS voltage while lowering the LLC value. Start with 1.375V in BIOS and set LLC to 5. Keep it steady for stability. Once stable, reduce the 5mV incrementally until issues appear. Then raise the 10mV and maintain that level.
