I'm placing the ring cameras in an area without internet or WiFi. I installed them at home on a network named House12, and set up a personal hotspot on my iPhone called House12 using the same password. The cameras won’t connect to my phone, even though I only want them to link so I can monitor their feed during setup. Internet is expected next week, but I’ll be away while I’m traveling. Unfortunately, I don’t have an extra router available.
You're seeing an issue where your phone isn't connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the computer, preventing communication during setup. Try switching to a mobile hotspot on another device and linking both the phone and the computer together.
A Windows laptop could function if you're planning to display files locally. Just ensure it meets your system requirements and has the necessary drivers installed.
