There was another operating system before Windows. You can safely remove it.

I got a completely fresh SSD and just reinstalled everything. I cleared the folder without much concern, more interested in figuring out where it came from.

"Real" refers to the genuine version of Windows 10, not the emulated or virtualized copy you created.
