I bought a generic Wi-Fi extender from AliExpress, the built-in camera model AH1, but some DNS requests are failing intermittently. I’m wondering if there’s a way to adjust its settings or route traffic correctly. It seems like setting up a VPN for the device might be necessary. I’ve noticed this issue on similar networks—sites like don’t help, but others (such as YouTube) do. The manufacturer only provides minimal guidance, just basic instructions. I’ve also identified which IP addresses can’t connect; they’re all associated with Cloudflare. The 1.1.1.1 DNS and other Cloudflare IPs keep timing out with this configuration.

Perform a factory reset on the device and check website access straight from the router, excluding any Wi-Fi modifications.
