Hello, your question is clear. Could the power supply in USB ports drop out for certain devices on your motherboard? Imagine a high-end ATX system with just four connected items—a mouse, keyboard, USB microphone, and a DAC/amp that needs 5V and up to 2.5A. Even though your power source seems capable, could it fail under heavy load from the audio device? If so, what might happen to other USB devices like the mouse or microphone, or any delays in performance? Also, you mentioned you can run your DAC separately on DC—why would that matter if the USB ports aren’t supplying enough power? Thank you for your attention!

Ensure your setup is within port capabilities and motherboard specifications to maintain stable power delivery. Any fluctuations indicate another issue. Typically, peripherals such as mice consume minimal bandwidth, so interference from other devices shouldn't occur—unless your controller runs out of available bandwidth.
