We possess internal tools that function exclusively in Google Chrome and others solely in Internet Explorer. Can we set up an automated process to redirect users to the correct browser when necessary? In a business context where we can manage updates across devices, this would be practical. I understand there are methods involving custom protocols, though these would necessitate users clicking through a link. Avoiding any chance of users visiting incompatible sites is essential.

Chrome can be identified using JavaScript, and you can show a prompt to switch to Internet Explorer, or vice versa. But I’m uncertain about transferring between Chrome and IE. IE is known as Internet Explorer.

We're kind've holding out for that as a last resort, we don't exactly trust them to actually open it in a different browser if prompted Or alternatively placing shortcuts to the given websites to open with specific browsers (but that still wouldn't stop them if they were to navigate to it while already in the browser) Edited February 3, 2020 by camjocotem
