Hey, lately every other time I restart my laptop, the first image appears automatically. I don’t know why or how it happens. My Dell XPS 13 9300 has all three options set, but it keeps doing this. Any suggestions? I also noticed the light under the keyboard is on, yet there’s no other indication of life. I tried updating and opened it unplugged, held the power button briefly, then reassembled everything—now it’s back to normal. In the third update, I went through the BIOS recovery process because it usually works after that step. Now the screen is black except for the front LED, which lights up orange when the power button is pressed.
These units don't include a standard CMOS battery. Before disassembling, simply shut off the laptop and keep pressing the power button for roughly thirty seconds to see if it clears the issue. If that doesn't work, consult the instructions for battery installation (typically unplug the battery, hold the power button 10 seconds, wait a few minutes, then reinsert). If the problem persists, the battery pack itself may be faulty and would need replacement.
Hi, I've already tried that. I think the issue might be with the battery since you changed it around 9 months ago. Also, a factory reset was done then, and the BIOS was updated about 3 months earlier.
Thank you for your message. It seems the laptop isn’t responding much right now, except when I press the power button for a while. The front LED usually shows white during charging and turns orange when the battery is low. Once I release it, it shuts off immediately. I’ve kept it on for a long time, unplugged the battery, and left it there.
