So i have never upgraded my OS on any PC (just bought new ones) and i was wondering if there is any way to keep my HDD data (games and so) when upgrading to windows 10? Would be nice to not have to download GTA V again...

There are methods to perform the upgrade without causing damage. Opt for a fresh installation to avoid future complications and save yourself a lot of trouble later.

If the update is relatively recent, it shouldn't cause much concern. Using an SSD won't make a noticeable difference. I recommend upgrading and performing a clean installation just in case issues arise.
