Curious about the setup you're using to run ARK SE at around 100fps with maximum settings? Your system has a 144Hz monitor and an i5-2500 plus a 660 MHz CPU, which you mainly use for CS and other games. It’s tough for ARK SE on that configuration. I know GPUs were once the main factor in FPS, but modern i7 processors with higher clocks are still relevant today for many titles.

Ark feels like a mess of junk. It’s definitely one of the least smooth games I’ve tried. I’m completely confused about how they made it work on consoles. The last time I played—about three months ago with my 6800K and 980ti at the highest settings in 1440p—I was seeing between 40 to 70 frames per second.

your 5820k with 32gb ram and a 1070 slack into issues with frame timing and fps drops on your powerful rig. it seems even top-tier setups can struggle with certain games. for a high-end gaming experience, consider upgrading to a 2600k and 480, or wait for Ryzen. pairing a 7700k with 16gb ram and a 1070 offers a solid gaming performance across titles.

I tried using a copy of Ark I borrowed from a friend, and honestly... you’d likely have to discard the whole setup and rebuild it to even come close to enjoying Ark. The developers clearly left a lot to be desired—just handing over the executable named "shootergame.exe" without updating the default copyright notice.

This game faces issues beyond its design style; a full overhaul by another development team might be necessary to resolve them...

Avoid using Ark and FPS together in one statement.
