This memory package is among the poorest for boosting performance. Many users struggle to hit even XMP rated speeds. It's a relief to hear that. I've noticed similar setups before, especially with this exact kit, but they struggle to handle XMP even after adjustments. The best approach seems to be taking small tweaks while keeping XMP active. When issues arise, adjust the frequency manually and leave XMP enabled—see how it performs. At 3733mhz, the clock speed is solid, but only Zen+ and unique memory modules deliver strong efficiency. The IF remains locked down, so raising SOC is necessary for higher clocks like 3933mhz. Unfortunately, this doesn't meet my stability requirements. A bit of over-voltage is acceptable just to cover the v-droop, and the timing at 16-19-19 is flexible enough not to require further changes.
I ran the tests using OCCT, but it completed quickly yet logged a huge number of errors. Does that indicate instability?
I adjusted the voltage slightly and resolved the issues during a follow-up stress test. I'm back operational.
Also disable power-down mode. For improved performance, tighten Trfc and configure write recovery to 8.
You need to modify the trfc setting—specifically trfc 2 or trfc 4. Choose one and update it accordingly. Power down mode is located in the gear down menu within the BIOS.
